element is a visual art studio that invents, designs and develops props, costumes, concepts and scenography. Two designers, two visual artists who mutate into a singular being when working together.  

Eline and Katrien met as fellow prop makers and impressed by each other’s skill set, decided to join forces in 2018. element is an open-minded studio, best described as playful, passionate and inquisitive.  An interdisciplinary practice where concept, material and technique meet aesthetics.

In addition to working on commission, element also collaborates with other artists and maintains self-initiated projects.
